MusiNature Saint-Donat

We offer a wide variety of courses that will appeal to both beginner and advanced musicians. Choristers, pianists, strings (violin, viola et cello) and winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon) + French horn are invited to participate. 

 It is important to note that for this year, instruction for brass (with the exception of French horn) and recorder are not being offered. 

If you don't have previous experience playing a musical instrument, we suggest that you sign up for piano. 

Chamber music groups and piano duos will be formed according to the abilities of the participants.

The courses are offered from 9h00 to 12h30 and from 16h00 to 18h00 so participants can enjoy the natural environment and the exceptional location in the afternoons.

In the evening we will have activities and concerts.

All participants will benefit from:

• 20 hours of music instruction
• access to the facilities of Le Grand R (beach, embarcations, hiking trails, and sports activities)
• Welcome Banquet catered by the Grand R
• a concert by our invited ensemble Stick and Bow
• numerous activities

• Monday (19h): Welcome Banquet (menu)
• Tuesday (13h): free evening (22h) Stargazing with a astronomy specialist (if possible, Tuesday night)
• Wednesday (13h30): Teacher's Concert "picnic" (outdoors if the weather permits) and (20h) Evening activities with a musical game
• Thursday (20h): Concert by Stick & Bow
• Friday (14h): Concert of the Participants (at Place Saint-Donat, if the weather permits)

*Payment policy: Total amount due at the time of registration. 

*Cancellation policy: Before June 1st: reimbursement of the total payment minus a $75 administrative fee.

After  June 1st: no reimbursement.

*The chamber music ensembles will be formed before the beginning of the session (we will create the groups based on the intrumentation and experience level of the participants, and we will send everyone their parts in advance). This course is for intermediate and advanced participants.

*2 ou 3 electric pianos with headphones will be available for the participants (in the large hall) for individual practice.
